THE SCIENCE BEHIND SAFER HYDRATION

UV-C light technology is a radiation method that makes use of a specific wavelength of ultraviolet light. When the right scientific circumstances are met, it can successfully neutralise any harmful microorganisms lurking in your tap water.

The LUQEL Water Station utilises a short, intense burst of ultraviolet light. Its narrow wavelength, activated in realtime, carries the energy necessary to inactivate microorganisms, ensuring your water is safe to enjoy.

UV-A LIGHT

Traditional water dispensers employ a UV lamp, which is broader in wavelength than its faster-working cousin. UV light lamps are left on permanently in water tanks where the water is stored and typically take time to warm up.

Because UV-C light is germicidal, it destroys microorganisms by deactivating their DNA. Bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens are rendered unable to cause harm to human because the DNA damage disrupts their ability to multiply.
